Privacy Policy

This privacy policy (“Policy”) explains Aleron Shared Resources, Inc. ( the “Company”, “we”, “our” or “us”) information collection practices for “online” activities on its website, and other mobile and internet services, including, without limitation, web and mobile sites, digital installations, mobile applications, however accessed and/or used, whether via personal computers, mobile devices or otherwise, or other digital services (collectively referred to as the “Platform”), which are owned, operated or made available by or to the Company.

Please read this Policy carefully and in its entirety to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how the Company will treat it. This Policy applies to information the Company collects on or through the Platform, but does not include any information collected by the Company offline or through any other means, or information collected by any third-party, including through any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible through or on the Platform. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to the provisions of this Policy. This Policy may change from time to time in the Company’s sole discretion. Your continued use of the Platform subsequent to any such changes to this Policy is deemed to be acceptance of those changes. The Company will not post or otherwise notify you of any such changes to this Policy, so please periodically check the Policy for changes.

What information does the Company collect?

Information You Voluntarily Provide Us.  When you use the Platform, the Company may ask you to provide us with certain categories of information, including: (i) personally identifiable information (i.e. information that could reasonably be used to identify you) such as your name, personal or other address, email address, home phone number, cell phone number, employment history, resume, or any other information that is defined as personal or personally identifiable information under applicable law (“Identifying Information”), provided at the time of registering to use our Platform, subscribing to our service, or requesting further services; (ii) records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses), if you contact us; (iii) your responses to surveys that we might ask you to complete for research purposes; and (iv) details of transactions and connections you carry out through our Platform. We may also ask you for information if and when you report a problem with our Platform.

Information Passively Collected By Us. In addition to any Identifying Information or other information that you voluntarily submit to us, the Company reserves the right to use a variety of technologies that automatically (or passively) collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns whenever you interact with the Platform, including (collectively, “Usage Information”): (i) details of your visits to and use of the Platform (including traffic data, location data, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on the Platform); and (ii) information about your computer and internet connection (including your IP address, operating system, and browser type). These server logs may also include other unique identifier, browser language, the date and time of your request, and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser (“Device Identifier”) from your computer, tablet, iPad, iPhone, smartphone, or other device (a “Device”) used to access the Platform. A Device Identifier is a number that is automatically assigned to your Device used to access the Platform, and our systems identify your Device by its Device Identifier.

The Company may use aggregate data collected in log files and cookies for general purposes, which may include, without limitation, to enhance or otherwise improve the Platform, to customize the advertising and content you see, develop new services, conduct research, and provide anonymous reporting for internal and external clients. These cookies and log files do not store your Identifying Information, but they are tied to your Identifying Information in our system.

Below are examples of methods that the Company may use to collect Usage Information. In the future, other new technology and methods for collecting Usage Information may develop:

  1. A cookie is a data file placed on a Device when it is used to access the Platform. Cookies may be used for many purposes, including, without limitation, remembering you and your preferences and tracking your visits to the Platform. If you choose to disable cookies on your Device, some features of the Platform may not function properly. Our Platform may use cookies when you sign in in order to identify you and keep track of your personal session. The preference to receive cookies automatically, or only upon notice to a user and/or acceptance by the user, is controlled by a setting in your web browser. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse all cookies or to inform you when a cookie is being placed on your hard drive. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you visit the Platform. Some of our business partners (e.g. advertisers or tracking utility company) may use cookies on our sites. The Company does not have access or control over these cookies.
  2. Web Beacons. Small graphic images or other web programming code called web beacons (also known as “1×1 GIFs” or “clear GIFs”) may be included in the Platform. Web beacons may be invisible to you, but any electronic image or other web programming code inserted into a web or mobile page or e-mail can act as a web beacon. Web beacons or similar technologies may be used for a number of purposes, including, without limitation, to count users of the Platform, to monitor how users navigate the Platform, to count how many e-mails that were sent were actually opened or to count how many particular articles or links were actually viewed. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear GIFs are embedded invisibly on web pages. The Company does not tie web beacons to Identifying Information. The Company may use a third-party tracking service that uses cookies to track non-personally identifiable information about visitors to our sites in the aggregate – e.g., usage and volume statistics to enhance and improve our websites.

Further, the Company may use IP addresses or other Device Identifiers, to identify users, and may do so in cooperation with third parties such as copyright owners, internet service providers, wireless service providers and/or law enforcement agencies, including disclosing such information to third parties, all in our discretion. Such disclosures may be carried out without notice to you.

Nonetheless, the Company seeks to protect the integrity of the Platform and welcome any feedback about these sites.
